REISA Auctioneering Champion crowned

20 Jul 15

REISA’s first ever Auctioneering Championships concluded last night with a Gala Presentation Dinner and concert after 2 fantastic days of heats and finals.

Toop & Toop’s Bronte Manuel took out first place and is off on a sensational trip to Hawaii as well as entry to the Australasian Championships in September.

Independent auctioneer, AJ Colman, finished in second place and receives an all expenses paid trip to compete in the Australasian Championships.

Greg Troughton, CEO of REISA said “I am delighted that both Bronte and AJ will be representing South Australia in the Australasians.  All the contestants performed well and demonstrated the depth of auctioneering talent that exists in this State”.

“REISA is taking the lead with auctioneering in South Australia and the aim of our Competition is to get our local auctioneers as ready as possible before taking on the other States and the incredibly strong Kiwis in the Australasians”

“We ensured that our competition was as fair and transparent as possible.  The competition was judged by a panel of five interstate judges under the guidance of our chief judge, Jonathon Moore and Floor Manager, Damian Popowycz” Mr Troughton said.

Last night represents a new chapter of auctioneering competition in South Australia and one that will begin a prestigious legacy of recognising and rewarding local talent.
